  • Notify Registrar of Date Change activity – When putting in an activity in CVue for changing the date, it needs to be assigned to Beth Hatt.
  • UPDATE Income Earned from Work (IEFW) – We DO need to review the ISIR for IEFW if we have a copy of the tax transcripts or W2s. Even though the IEFW is not a verifiable item for tax filers, if we have tax return transcripts or wages and earnings transcripts that conflict with the info on the ISIR, we need to correct it. It will be conflicting information if we don’t. GOOD NEWS IS, if we can identify the conflicting information, we can probably correct the ISIR on the spot because we will have the documentation to do so.
  • SEOG for 4 Month Loan Periods – Ryan P. confirmed that SEOG is entered on a term by term basis rather than loading it all into the 1st AY for 4 month loan periods.
  • PO Boxes on MPNs – If the MPN is already completed for another school and is valid, we can accept it with PO Boxes for the student’s address. If a student is completing the MPN for IU/SHO, we cannot accept PO Boxes for the student’s address.
  • Pending Final ISIR – When submitting a file to audit “Pending Final ISIR”, please make sure that we have the VALID ID and a V5-RATED POG (no unofficial transcripts). If either of these items are missing, we have to wait to submit the file to audit until the corrected ISIR comes back. The reason being, these have a chance of coming back selected for V5.

  • Enrollment Wizard – A while back, we changed our process slightly, adjusting the timing of when we run the enrollment wizard. By delaying this process, we found out that the student does not have the Orientation Class loaded in Canvas. This is preventing them from logging in and getting a feel for how classes will work.
From this point forward, please run the enrollment wizard as part of your “Awards Out” criteria.
  • Shared Drive – Use the shared drive! This is extremely important for several reasons. Erin brought up another great reason, they use it when they need to send something to CFA and it makes it easier for them. PLEASE use it!
  • Overlapping Loan Period – If NSLDS and COD show an end date for loans that would make it an overlapping loan period, but the loans have all been cancelled/zeroed out, we treat it like normal, not a 4 or 8-month overlap. If the loans have been cancelled then there is no loan period to deal with
  • SNAP and Adding to ISIR – If we have agency proof of SNAP for a student is selected for verification – requiring that we verify SNAP benefits, we DO NOT require a statement to accompany the agency proof. The FP can make the correction to that ISIR with the agency proof. (Ryan Perry – 5/2/16)

  • Grant/Scholarship Money on ISIR – We cannot accept these items as income received. If this is all they receive then they would still be considered low income.
  • 4 Month Loan Period – When putting together a 4 month loan PCE you can bring in whatever amount is left from the old loan even if it is over what a student receives in 4 months usually. Whatever they have left can be brought in.
  • V4/V5 POG’s – We need the actual diploma or transcripts for the POG if they are V4 or V5.
  • Dependent FAFSA with Parents that are not Legal Residents – When completing a FAFSA for a dependent student and the parents are not legal residents you only enter the information for one parent. Put the SS# as all zeros but only put one of the parents info or else the FAFSA will not let you proceed.
  • CampusVue Verification Holds – Before removing any holds in Cvue for verification please check the new ISIR against the last ISIR submitted to CFA. Additional items may need to be provided to clear the new ISIR or forms may need to be corrected to match the new ISIR. If you have questions please ask, don’t just remove the hold.
  • Rescheduled FAA – If you call a student for the FAA and they need to reschedule then they are considered a no show. The only time they are not is if they rescheduled 15 minutes before the FAA or earlier.
  • UEH Transcripts Required – We will need these not only for Pell but for Loans as well. If the student received any type of aid (loans or grants) then we need the transcripts.
  • Expiring ID’s – We need a new ID if the ID will expire within 6-8 weeks after the start date. The ID cannot expire before CFA orders their funds.
